Dublin Core

Elephant Bird Egg (Aepyornis maximus)

The flightless Aepyornis, endemic to Madagascar, was up to 3 meters tall and 400 kg in weight. It is widely believed that its extinction, probably by the 17th century, was an effect of human activity.
