Brockman and Korean man

Title:

Brockman and Korean man

Description:

Frank Marion Brockman came to Korea in 1905 as the YMCA secretary and co-led the student movement. Together with Syngman Rhee (who was a YMCA coordinator and missionary at that time and became the first President of Korea, 1948-1960), he toured the country in 1910-11 to hold lectures and student movements, leading to anti-Japanese and independence movements. When Christian leaders were persecuted for the 105-Man Incident, missionary Brockman led to continue the Christian youth movement in Korea, and also started the rural enlightenment movement in the 1920s.
