The Cuba Pavillion was one of the first architectural innovations in the post-1959 period. Built in 72 days the building is used for public gatherings of all kinds. During the crisis of the fishing boats Fidel Castro addressed the nation from the Pavillion. It is still in use today as a site for conventions and cultural events, February 1964.
