This is a collection of manuscript writings including the will of Richard Arnold, (early settler of Woonsocket and Smithfield, Rhode Island) dated September 6, 1735 and a notebook of writings on religious topics, dated 1725-1727. Some of the writings express anti-Quaker sentiments.
This collection had a catalog note that stated: “Also contains small envelope of page fragments†this pictures shows those fragments.
The conservator used Japanese tissue and paste to return fragments to their original placement and make this a readable document now available to patrons.
