Vietnam: the real war (pages 260-261)

Besides the enormous loss of life during the Vietnam War from 1955 - 75, the War also left a lasting environmental scar, with Agent Orange being one of the most devastating weapons used. This toxic herbicide caused widespread deforestation, contaminated soil and water, and led to severe health issues for both the local population and veterans, continuing to impact ecosystems and communities long after the conflict ended.
