Visual Diversity Committee

This space on the 4th floor of Perkins library was named for longtime CSGD director, Janie Long. It was established in her honor in 2023. The Duke alums who created the space describe it as "a gathering place for students, a room for research and inquiry, and a safe space for anyone seeking shelter or peace." 

In December 2023, the Visual Diversity Committee of Duke University Libraries installed this wall mural to support the Janie Long Study Space.
