Mashhad

Mashhad via Teheran was the next stop on the itinerary. The travelers arrived on April 1st and then flew back to Teheran on April 3rd.

Mashhad (literally the place of martyrdom) is the second largest city in Iran and one of the holiest cities in the Shia Muslim world. Now Mashhad is notably known as the resting place of the Imam Reza. For more information, click here.
